The primary improvement is the 5,768 ± square foot community center/chapel. The two-story brick and concrete block building, constructed in the 1970’s, has 2,908 ± square feet on the upper level. This level has oak and carpet floors, wood panel and sheetrock walls, and a mixture of sheetrock and drop-in acoustical tile ceilings. The upper level is divided into a large chapel, 8 classroom areas on the outer walls, foyer, and two small
restrooms. The lower level contains 2,860 ± square feet with an at grade entrance. The floors are vinyl tile with painted concrete block walls and a drop-in ceiling. There is one large room, 6 classrooms, kitchen, and two restrooms. The upper and lower levels are accessible by interior stairs.
The roof is a fiberglass shingle with fixed pane windows. Heating and cooling is by electric heat pumps. There are asphalt parking areas for both the upper and lower levels. The community center also includes a small playground.
Overall condition of the building is average. At time of inspection, there appears to be some moisture or water intrusion on the lower level. See pictures of interior lower level. The asphalt parking areas need repair. The heating and cooling systems were not on during my inspection, but I was told they are in working order.
The second improvement is a 2,673 ± square foot apartment. The apartment is brick exterior with a fiberglass shingle roof, aluminum gutters, vinyl boxing, and vinyl glad, thermal pane windows. It is divided into two traditional apartments and one dormitory style unit on the rear. An inspection of the dormitory rear units was the only unit available for inspection. I was told each apartment has two bedrooms, one bath, family room and small kitchen. The dormitory style unit has one bathroom, one open room with no kitchen. The units are heated and cooled by electric heat pumps.
I was told no one had occupied the apartments for over two or three years. From the exterior the building looked to be in average to good condition.
